Last Saturday I had the opportunity to shoot the wedding of Jennifer and Kirk.  I think this was the first wedding I booked for last year for 2011 and it seems like I’ve been waiting for it forever!  The ceremony was at First United Methodist Church in Wilson with the reception to follow at the home of Jennifer’s grandfather.  I was curious to see the inside of the house as we had shot part of her bridal portrait there and the house is stunning from the outside.  Jennifer and her ladies were also getting dressed there before heading to the church, so I met them there for some getting ready shots.

Our beautiful bride getting last minute touch ups:

It always amuses me just how thoroughly a group of bridesmaids can take over a room:

Meanwhile, the guys were hanging out at the church.  This is the ring bearer entertaining himself:

Then it was time for the ceremony.  Here, the ring bearer gets a pep talk from one of the groomsmen:

One the way back down the aisle, there was a small mishap with Jennifer’s veil:

but they were both good sports about it and look at those smiles!

and some quick repairs:

A little bit of rain to bring good luck:

Usually at receptions, it’s the bridesmaids who dance, but this wedding it was the guys who showed off their moves:

I didn’t hear this conversation, but I’m pretty sure it went something like “you better treat her right or else….”

And one last dance:
