Last week I did an engagement session with Gina and Sam, who are getting married next month.  What an adorable couple!  And thankfully, they’re good sports, too, because it rained at our shoot.  As they were driving from Greensboro, we decided to make the best of it rather than just reschedule.  We were shooting at Yates Mill Pond, and while there’s no place to actually get inside, there were enough overhangs and awnings that even when it really started coming down, we stayed pretty dry and kept on shooting!  Visit my facebook page to see more images!

Here, we’re actually standing under the bridge where the creek passes under Lake Wheeler Road.  It’s a different perspective of the mill than I’ve ever shot before but I love the quality of the light and the blurred background:
