Congratulations to Amy and John!  I had the pleasure of shooting their wedding a couple of weeks ago.   A large part of my job is observing, and as they interacted that day, what struck me most is that they are a truly couple where the whole is more than the sum of the parts.  Not to take anything away from them as individuals, but they seem to have that perfect fit that makes each of them so much more together.  Watching the care and tenderness with which John treats Amy, and the confidence he brings out in her was beautiful.

The wedding was at Walnut Creek Country Club in Goldsboro.  Here’s what the ballroom looked like for the ceremony.  I was impress with how quickly everything was switched over for the reception:

Amy has a very expressive face as you’ll see from some of the pictures.  I love how solemn she is in this shot during the ceremony.  Does her dad remind you of Garth Brooks, or is it just me?:

First Dance:

The rain of earlier cleared and we were able to go outside and take some portraits on the grounds of the country club:

During our consultation, Amy and John had struck me as a quiet and fairly reserved couple, so I didn’t really anticipate too wild of a reception.  I was wrong.
