This past weekend I had the opportunity to shoot a fabulous wedding just outside of Kitty Hawk in the Outer Banks.  I was very excited to work with Kim and Brett as they had been referred to me by one of my past couples, Lauren and Wyatt, so I knew they were going to be a ton of fun!  Kim and Brett both live in Virginia, so this was something of a destination wedding for them, even though Kim spends a lot of time here during the summer.  The ceremony and reception were both at the Kilmarlic Golf Club in Powells Point, NC. Faith is the wedding coordinator there and I have to say she did a fantastic job keeping everything organize.  Here are a few highlights from the day:

The Dress:

I have to confess it makes me giggle sometimes watching guys try to figure out how to get dressed in a tux!

The ceremony was Sound front at the Kilmarlic Golf Club with perfect temperatures and not a cloud in the sky:

After the ceremony, I spent some time with Kim and Brett taking pictures there at the sound:

Then we moved to the golf course for a few more.  I think there’s something so romantic about a portrait with the sun setting in the background:

And then it was off to the reception and their first dance:
